For the first part of the Space project, we were asked to take a blind shot of an interesting place in our home.
This is a photo taken from under my bed:

Upon looking at this photo I was simply bewildered by the amount of dust under my sleeping situation. That thick layer of dust has resulted in a personal awakening of sorts. I was almost tempted to retake the shoot, but my integrity prevailed. The dust stays.
I have two objects under my bed. Under the bed is a good place to store objects. These two objects are a stand for music and a case for a guitar. Fortunately, the guitar is not in the case, but if I do ever need to put away my guitar, I have a case to do so.
Dust aside, I feel like this photo accurately represents what I whatever the underneath of my bed to represent. Namely, simplicity and functionality. I keep the underbelly of the bed clean and I keep it practical. Thankfully this stab in the dark revealed an aspect of self I take pride in.
In this case, I’m happy with the home being a physical expression of the human.
